Top 10 Game of Thrones Like TV Shows of 2020

Who didn’t liked the epic HBO blockbuster TV Show “Game of Thrones” ? Until the last season of course ! They just nailed it – in its coffin ; i must add. Nevertheless , we move on.To console your wounded soul , I bring thou “Top 10 Game of Thrones Like TV Shows of 2020” and I am certain – thou shall enjoy it.

It is in no particular order except for #1 – The editor’s Choice Award Goes To –

#1.The Witcher – Netflix

The Witcher is an American fantasy drama web television series created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich for Netflix. It is based on the book series of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski.

So, another lore from the books ! The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than monsters and beasts.

But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a special gift, the three must learn to navigate independently the increasingly volatile Continent.

#2.Into the Badlands – 3 Seasons

Regent Sunny, a highly-skilled fighter and the deadliest “Head Clipper” for Baron Quinn battles the Nomads to rescue a mysterious boy named M.K. who harbors a dark secret about his past. But when he brings him back to The Fort to train as a “Colt”, a Clipper-in-training, things quickly get out of hand with another trainee.

When first blood is drawn, M.K. loses control of himself as if something takes over his body, making the boy valuable to an opposing baron, The Widow. Meanwhile, Sunny discovers M.K.’s pendant has the same image as the one on his childhood compass of a place called Azra, the boy’s home.

In order to seek out the truth about his own past, Sunny wants to know more of this city beyond the Badlands, and must find a way out, especially now that his lover Veil is illegally pregnant with his child.

Into the Badlands may be a bit cheesy but it’s elegant and beautiful at the same time. You will have no shortage of violence and blood spills here. Even its intro music is awesome, I enjoyed it in every episode.

#3.Vikings – Top 10 Game of Thrones Like TV Shows of 2020

The adventures of a Ragnar Lothbrok: the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the saga of Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes.

As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods: legend has it that he was a direct descendant of Odin, the god of war and warriors.

#5.Spartacus: Blood and Sand

The life of Spartacus, the gladiator who lead a rebellion against the Romans. From his time as an ally of the Romans, to his betrayal and becoming a gladiator, to the rebellion he leads and its ultimate outcome.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand is the first season of American television series Spartacus, which premiered on Starz on January 22, 2010. The series was inspired by the historical figure of Spartacus (played by Andy Whitfield), a Thracian gladiator who from 73 to 71 BC led a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic.

#6.Rome

A down-to-earth account of the lives of both illustrious and ordinary Romans set in the last days of the Roman Republic.

Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo, two ordinary Roman soldiers, turn into heroes after their feats in the arena. Their lives change as they witness the fall of a republic and the creation of an empire.

#7.The last Kingdom

#9.Westworld

This science fiction western series from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy was inspired by Michael Crichton’s Westworld (1973) and is set at a Wild West theme park created by Dr. Robert Ford (Sir Anthony Hopkins) with human-like androids, where guests are encouraged to indulge their fantasies and desires.

In a futuristic Western-themed amusement park, Westworld, the visitors interact with automatons. However, all hell breaks loose when the robots begin malfunctioning.

#10.Penny Dreadful

Penny Dreadful is a British-American horror drama television series created for Showtime and Sky by John Logan, who also acts as executive producer alongside Sam Mendes. The show was originally pitched to several US and UK channels, and eventually landed with Showtime, with Sky Atlantic as co-producer.

Explorer Sir Malcolm Murray, American gunslinger Ethan Chandler, scientist Victor Frankenstein and medium Vanessa Ives unite to combat supernatural threats in Victorian London.

Vanessa Ives recruits Wild West showman Ethan Chandler, and big game hunter Sir Malcolm to track down a killer. However, they soon realise that they are up against a non-human entity.
